Which UK Companies Sponsor Skilled Worker Visas for Indian Graduates? (2026 List)

PrepTree Global Team · June 8, 2026

The single most important question an Indian graduate on the UK Graduate Route needs to answer is not "will I get the job?" — it is "does this company hold a sponsor licence?"

Without a sponsor licence, no job offer converts to a Skilled Worker visa, no matter how well the interview goes. This guide tells you how to check, which sectors reliably sponsor, and how to use the official register to verify any company before you apply.

The official source: the Home Office sponsor register

The UK Home Office maintains a publicly searchable register of all companies currently licensed to sponsor skilled workers. It is updated monthly and is the only source you should trust. Search it at gov.uk/government/publications/register-of-licensed-sponsors-workers.

Filter by "Skilled Worker" route and search by company name, city, or sector. If a company is not on this list, they cannot legally sponsor your visa — regardless of what their recruiter tells you in an interview.

Sectors with the highest density of sponsors

Technology and software

The UK tech sector has the highest concentration of Skilled Worker sponsor licences of any industry. AWS, Google, Meta, Apple, KPMG Tech, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and virtually every mid-size SaaS company holds a licence. Indian graduates with computer science, data science, or software engineering backgrounds have the strongest match here.

Financial services

The Big 4 accountancy firms — Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG — all sponsor. Investment banks including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Barclays, HSBC, and Deutsche Bank sponsor consistently. Salary thresholds in finance almost always exceed the £41,700 Skilled Worker minimum.

Healthcare and life sciences

The NHS is one of the UK's largest sponsor employers. Pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca, GSK, Pfizer, and Novartis all sponsor. Healthcare roles are also on the shortage occupation list, which can reduce the salary threshold requirement.

Consulting

McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, and the Big 4 strategy arms all sponsor. Graduate consulting programmes almost always sit above the salary threshold.

Red flags in job descriptions

Watch for these phrases: "candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship", "no visa sponsorship available", "must be eligible to work in the UK." These are legal disclosures, not negotiating positions — do not apply to these roles expecting an exception.

Positive signals: "we welcome applications from candidates requiring visa sponsorship", "we are a registered sponsor employer", or simply the absence of any right-to-work restriction in the job description.

The three questions to ask before accepting any offer

PrepTreeGo's Offer Playbook is built around three qualifying questions every Indian graduate must ask before investing time in an application: Does the company hold a Skilled Worker sponsor licence? Is the role at RQF Level 6 or above? Does the salary meet the £41,700 threshold?

PrepTreeGo maintains a database of 46 confirmed sponsor companies across all five destination countries, sourced directly from official government registers. Check any company before you apply.
